U.S. Army Career Center Selects KM Institute for
Enterprise-wide KM Certification Program

(Washington DC, May 31, 2008) – The International Knowledge Management Institute (KM Institute), the leader in Knowledge Management training and education services, was recently tapped by the U.S. Army Warrant Officer Career College (WOCC) to implement a wide-scale, customized version of their popular KM training and certification program.

Headquartered in Ft. Rucker, Alabama, the WOCC is the central location for all U.S. Army Warrant Officer Training.

Hundreds of Warrant Officers are expected to earn their Certification in KM in 2008, and plans are underway to continue this partnership in the coming years.

“We are honored to be named by the WOCC as their preferred provider in world-class KM training and education,” says Douglas Weidner, Chairman, KM Institute.  “WOCC is truly adopting a learner-led approach… And KMI has proudly stepped up, offering what we believe is the ‘best of both worlds’ in the training discipline: traditional in-class experience augmented by cutting-edge eLearning modules adopted from our own popular eCKM™ Program.”

“Our development team is excited,” adds Weidner, “as we get the opportunity to take our proven, standardized program and further fine-tune it to meet the WOCC’s specific needs.  The end-result is a scalable, customizable solution, rather than an off-the-shelf, generic box that only repeats existing content.  This already looks to be a blue-print for future projects.”

Warrant Officers are using the latest in eLearning technology through the KM Institute’s ground-breaking eLearning program, the eCKM™.  The eCKM™ combines cutting-edge video/animation and interactivity, allowing for an immersive, comprehensive learning experience.
