Washington DC (September 30, 2009) - The KM Institute is pleased to announce a new series of courses designed to address the needs of organizations starting a Knowledge Management (KM) initiative.
"The KM Institute has delivered high-quality Certification training to thousands world-wide since 2001, and we are proud to be the de-facto standard," says Chairman Douglas Weidner, "but in order for organizations to meet the change management requirements of doing KM right, it's necessary to build a corporate culture around the KM focus; empower individual employees on what KM is and why it's so vital - otherwise many initiatives will fail."
"This is why we developed a new line of courses," adds Weidner, "to meet the needs of the change management gaps/hurdles that take place in any organization."
The KM Institute is rolling out four new courses to address these issues:
1) KM Lunch & Learn (1 hour) available online or as a live, private session
2) Executive Briefing (2 hour) available online or as a live, private session
3) KM Awareness for the Knowledge Age (half-day) - available online or as a live, private session
4) KM101 - KM Fundamentals for the Knowledge Age (1-day live or 5 hours online)
Each course is available individually or as part of a packaged solution, delivered online (via KMI website download or DVD) or live, in person, by KM Institute instructors.
The first course to be launched is the KM101 online course (ETA October, 2009), already delivered to such clients as the U.S. Department of Defense. KM101 is featured at the KM Institute website and is now available for just US$595 for a single copy. Group discounts and site licenses are available, making KM101 a low-cost, value-packed training solution.
The online version of each course features the latest in e-learning technology - as do all KM Institute online courses: instructor video, animation, and user interactivity (quizzes/exams). These enhancements have proven to be a key differentiator compared to other KM training programs, further solidifying KMI's position as the global leader in online KM education.
